The Razzies are doing something different this year. In previous years, they would announce their nominees the day before the Academy Award nominations and then hold their festivities the night before the Oscars. This year, they are starting a new tradition, announcing nominees on the evening before the Academy Awards and announcing winners on April Fool’s Day. It’s a risky gambit and changing tradition is a dangerous endeavor, but it might work. The only thing is, they lose a lot of their impact when not paired with the ultimate kudofest, so we’ll see if anyone cares in a month.
