There really isn't much to stimulate the mind here. The title lettering is far too reminiscent of that used for 300 and the image being in black and red just accentuates its banality.
The preview's all too dark to make out details and while the film is sure to continue that trend, it makes it difficult for the audience to grab hold of much more than a weak idea of the film's subject. That being said, it's not as if the audience needs to know. The "graphic novel" tag will draw out a large number of viewers even if the trailer looks like a waste of time.
Vampire movies just don't do well at the Oscars. The last version of Bram Stoker's Dracula was the last successful entry for the genre.
I have not seen this film.
