This poster does what First Snow's did not. It draws the characters attention pleasinbly to the joyous character in the lower right while not feeling completely off-balance.

Review:

Alan Rickman's always been one of those actors you love to watch because he brings so much to the role. This looks like the perfect vehicle for him. If only the preview didn't make this look like a romantic version of The Sweet Hereafter.

Oscar Prospects:

If The Sweet Hereafter couldn't earn an Oscar nod for its terrific lead (Ian Holm), this film won't get that elusive nod for Rickman even if he does deserve it. The rest of the categories will also be relatively unattainable.
