Review:

This is the second poster this year to use live actors on a drawn background. The first film, Year of the Dog, had no real reason thematically to go that route. At least this picture does.

Review:

Billy Crudup's one of the best working young actors today and this looks like another interesting role. Tom Wilkinson and Dianne Wiest add their acting credentials to the cast and hopefully all of that will rub off on singer-actress Mandy Moore.

Oscar Prospects:

Crudup could be a contender, but we've thought that in the past and been wrong. Unless it's a weaker year than expected for male roles, I think he'll have to remain an also-ran until he lands a more prestigious film job.
