It's pretty much like the Scary Movie posters displaying many of the different films that are going to be parodied. It does give a bit too much away.
After Scary Movie and Date Movie, the next evolution was indeed Epic Movie (well, there are others, but this fits best). The preview reminds me how often I hate when too many funny scenes are depicted. You want to check the film out to see if there's anything funnier than what's in the preview, but you know you can't expect more than a smattering of humorous bits that aren't in the trailer.
When monkeys become the military's top fighter pilots, this kind of film will win Oscars.
Better than Scary Movie 2, Epic Movie isn't terribly great beyond its catchy one-liners and pitiful continuity. Worth sitting down to while turning off your brain, but not worth much else. What's next? Musical Movie or War Movie? I'd love to see the former and perhaps a bit of a Sci-Fi Movie should the box office disappointment of the last two theme movies not prove prohibitive..
