If the poster weren't so severe in its coloring, it might be a more interesting piece. There is a simplicity I often lament is missing from poster art but this one almsot takes it to an extreme. The journalistic style of the black-and-white color is thematically appropriate, but hardly interesting.
Angelina Jolie looks superb in the film and there are a lot of international political and journalistic freedom arguments suggested by it. While it won't be the kind of film to pull audiences to the multiplexes in droves, it will definitely be a movie to pull in critical and Oscar support.
Jolie seems destined for an Oscar nomination in this film. They will have to push hard since it has such an early release date for such contenders. If she can carry the film through to awards season and critics support it like I believe they will, we could see a strong challenger for Oscars in other categories as well.
Anchored entirely on the amazing performance of Angelina Jolie.
