Using the blacked out text in a governmental report to allow the image of a child bleed through from the background is a clever ploy. The colors, however, don't work well together and hurt the poster more than help it.
Knowing a little about the story and listening to the disembodied dialogue gives you a sense of curiosity. While I'm not a fan of critical praise/film festival logos peppering most trailers, this one uses them more effectively than I would have imagined.
This film will be redacted from the Oscar telecast because it's too controversial.
I have not seen this film.
