This is a very simple poster featuring the film's star with a gun. It's what the film's about. But is that really enough. The tagline doesn't fit the poster's motif very well.

Review:

Where have we seen this concept before? Expertly trained military man set up to take a fall. Mark Wahlberg could make this work, but too much is given away in the preview to not think he's going to win.

Oscar Prospects:

Action films, especially ones like Shooter, aren't Academy friendly. They bring audiences to theaters, but not voters to the ballot box. This one will very likely be ignored.
