This poster does very little to suggest a subject to the audience and the pattern around the border is unnecessary and distracting.
If the bar code/human property symbolism hadn't been used previously, the poster might be a little more inventive. The colors and look of the poster is otherwise lacking in creativity or intrigue.
The preview says Spring, but it's new position in August means one of two things. They are counting on a push for Oscar, which the trailer suggests it might be well poised, or they've dumped it in the waning days of Summer where few films fare well. We'll have to see, but I'm intrigued by its prospects.
There may be too much of a Traffic feel to this film for Oscar to recognize it but we'll see how critics respond before writing this one off completely.
