Stylish. The makers of this film and it predecessor certainly know a thing or two about engaging an audience. The disparate colors of night and day clashing on the film's poster as they do in the film itself is perfectly arranged.

• Trailer: A-

Review:

A surreal martial arts film from Russia. And it's a sequel to boot. It looks quite interesting. We'll see if it can live up to its premise while still providing a plot.

Oscar Prospects:

Night Watch wasn't even considered by the Academy, there's no reason to expect that its sequel will be.
