The poster is rather cluttered and may be a good read for a bored theatergoer, it's not likely to pull in viewers alone. And amongst all those words, are the death knells for most traditional moviegoers. It's a festival circuit film. It's the type of advertising Juno avoided and to its benefit.
While it seems like it might be a cultural slice of life of the Indian world, there's very little of original substance in the trailer, and it seems a bit too traditional for the mold than it should be for its own good.
Like Mira Nair's film last year, I don't foresee any major recognition for this film.
I have not seen this film.
