Review:

Unlike their previous film's trailer, the Coens latest film at least looks a little more light-hearted. There's still the ever-presence of death and violence, but it looks like they're returning to their dark comic roots instead of focusing on the bland darkness of violence. I can't say if I'll ultimately like the film as I was not as impressed with Fargo as others and I downright dislike Raising Arizona, so we'll have to see, though I probably won't.

Oscar Prospects:

Hot off an Oscar victory, this would have to be a pretty special film to earn recognition for the brothers. Matter of fact, it might be another 11 years before they return to Oscar's best graces. The Academy hasn't been friendly to the brothers' comedies with the exception of Fargo, so there's little reason to believe they will be with this film.
