It makes a small amount of sense, but the garish hot pink color blended with the silhouette is so visually distracting as to be annoying.

Review:

There are kernels of comic genious in the trailer, but its dark roots are a bit distracting. The trailer suggests the kind of film that's a bit too strong on the "bad boys develop hearts of gold" premise and too light on the droll comic touches.

Oscar Prospects:

I wouldn't count on the film to do well outside of the Independent Spirit Awards.
