Review:

The costuming's hardly visible, the hairstyling isn't very intersting. I can't see how this poster would actually pull an audience to the film. It's not even remotely appealing on the eyes.

Review:

When the preview started, I thought to myself that this could be interesting. It appeared to be taking a minimalist approach to the period costume drama, but as it played on, the plot went nowhere and the performances hardly registered. I don't know that I'm better or worse for watching it, but I do feel quite a bit indifferent about the film.

Oscar Prospects:

Costume dramas might do well if they aren't subtitled or are more luxurious. The Academy won't take a second look at this early-year import.
