Review:

The film looks quite a bit like Big Fish (without the fantasy) and with a little bit of The Barbarian Invasions thrown in. I'm actually surprised Jim Broadbent's doing the role when it seems tailor made for another Oscar-miss for Albert Finney.

Oscar Prospects:

Broadbent has a tendency to get Oscar nods with the Academy for films you might not expect. He might be a contender next year, but a lot will depend on how the entire year plays out.
