Review:

Whether or not this poster would appeal to a mass audience is a moot point. That isn't their target. Instead, the target is the horror audience, which is a little less discerning. However, most of those viewers will have seen it as part of the After Dark series. Therefore, the poster seems unnecessary.

• Trailer: B-

Review:

Every year, one or two films from the After Dark series try their hand at a singular theatrical release, but they are never successful. With that knowledge in hand, the trailer looks at least interesting and since I like both of the films they mention Saw and Hostel more than some, I might find this flick interesting at least.

Oscar Prospects:

It would be a bloody mess if this were the first horror film in a large number of years to earn an Oscar nomination, but I don't think After Dark is the breeding ground for Oscar contenders.
