Preview: Gomorrah (2008)

Review:

I can't imagine anyone wanting to stop and read this poster. Too much text often turns moviegoers off. Even if it is just critics' praise. Plus, other than people wondering why there's a half-naked guy walking on a beach with a gun, there's no real reason for anyone to want to look at this.

Quite a bit less obtrusive than the first poster, the exsanguination of the poster makes it more palatable, but still lacking in significant form or visual impact.

Review:

While I can appreciate the use of critical notices in the trailer, this looks like little more than your traditional "dirty" gangster pic and doesn't look any better than any number of other similarly-themed movies.

Oscar Prospects:

Based on the critical response and the famousness of the pic, I'd say this has a good chance of earning an Oscar nomination and since it's on the short list, that chance is much higher.
