Preview: What Just Happened? (2008)

Review:

What an eyesore. No offense to the legendary De Niro, but his mug does not improve the poster. Matter of fact, everything from the use of De Niro's larger-than-reality mug to the tacky "ticket" gag fails considerably.

• Trailer: B-

Review:

The title itself might be the perfect phrase to describe this trailer. "What Just Happened?" is what I was asking myself even though the pedigree behind the film suggests it will be better than the trailer.

Oscar Prospects:

The last success for Barry Levinson was more than ten years ago and it was his last film to earn any Oscar buzz, which suggests the film would have to be up to the quality of Wag the Dog to even ben considered and even then, it would have to be beyond good to get much attention.
