Not terribly impressive nor involving. It's overly simplified and feels out of place with regard to a film about Mardi Gras.

Review:

I can't figure out what the film is really about? Is it about a unity between black and white Mardi Gras festivities or is it just a historical look into the past of Mobile's once-segregated celebrations. Without that distinction, this seems like a cable-channel documentary with little purpose of being on the big screen.

Oscar Prospects:

It has the chance of becoming an Oscar nominee, but it will have to be a much better and more organized film than the trailer suggests.
