While the art is certainly form meeting function, it's not really that interesting to look at even if semi-symbolic of the film.
This looks to be a more depressing African-centric documentary than War/Dance. It has a few of the same elements, but that may be more because of the genre than of the style of the filmmaker.
Important subjects have found their way in, as evinced by the nod for War/Dance last year, but this year's rule change may just create a gulf that causes the film to be ignored.
I have not seen this film.
