Mother and son torn between top and bottom. It's hardly noteworthy and nowhere near exceptional. It tells us that Julianne Moore's in the film, but that's all it says.
We all know how a lot of summer blockbusters go to great lengths to entice audiences to the theater by giving away huge plot points and expose many of the film's pivotal scenes. Most small films don't do that. However, if this trailer for Savage Grace hadn't, I don't think it would have been as intriguing. Suffice it to say, this looks incredibly interesting in spite of the shocking plot revelation.
Julianne Moore has two more chance at Oscar recognition this year and this is the first one out of the gate. While I can't say that it will be a sure fire nomination, I can see critics falling all over this performance.
I have not seen this film.
