The trailer is relatively boring. While we certainly know that we're getting into a documentary relying largely on canned news clips and precautionary videos, there's something somewhat annoying about watching a documentary that catalogues the hysteria of a nation over a Russian satellite launch. Of course, looking back is easier than looking forward, so perhaps the film might have a touch of merits.
It's political in a long-gone-days kind of way. While I certainly think it could contend for Oscars under the Academy Awards of the nineties and back, the modern organization has tended to reward more modernly relevant fare.
I have not seen this film.
