A marked improvement over the first poster, this second one is more visually appealing, though a touch more chaotic. And the tagline is absolutely laughable, so much of the improvements are sidetracked by minor issues.
The silhouette has turned up in all manners of popular advertising (Apple is the most noted for this), so it's no surprise that a movie about yet another dancing competition would play off on the familiar commercials by featuring a dancer in colored-silhouette on a black background alongside a rather placid title. No excitement.
While a slight improvement on the poster, the preview isn't terribly exceptional. Outside of some stellar choreography featured in the preview, the rest just feels like the same tired-old Sister Act-style affair. Bad performances, bad concepts, worn-out plot.
The first film was not Oscar-friendly. There's no reason to suspect the sequel will be.
I have not seen this film.
