Review:

When popular actors and actresses join the ranks of the horror elite (recently Luke Wilson and Naomi Watts), it means the genre has found a foothold in American culture. However, that foothold isn't terribly impressive to the core horror audience which generally means films like this fail. There's nothing of major interest in this trailer for anyone who might actually think about seeing it.

Oscar Prospects:

Bug was hardly an Oscar charmer despite critical success. So, using that film as a gauge, The Strangers should fail similarly.
