Overly simple, this poster might fool some filmgoers to check it out, but the lack of advertising should act as a warning. The colors aren't offensive, they just aren't terribly enthusiastic.
Hot on the heals of the Kerouac-ian journey Into the Wild, this documentary doesn't look terribly appealing. It seems destined for the shelf of vids that are never watched at Blockbuster. It may appeal to a certain, surf-hippy documentary enthusiast, but I can't imagine too many of those out there.
This isn't the kind of documentary the Academy takes seriously and if they can't find favor with favored son Sean Penn's Into the Wild, I doubt they'll recognize this.
I have not seen this film.
