Review:

Posters seem to come in two varieties lately. The first is a dumbed down, overly simplified layout designed without a visually cognitive audience in mind. The second is an over-compensating visual palette that does very little beyond stimulate, briefly, the "oohs" and "aahs" of its audience. This poster falls directly into the former category.

Review:

While the concept is certainly interesting, it seems too similar in comic style to Man of the Year, and with an actor like Kevin Costner attached, there isn't much hope for the film. And as the trailer drags on, it becomes clear that there will be a large hunk of self-indulgent feel-good at the end.

Oscar Prospects:

Kevin Costner is a long way away from the graces of the Academy and isn't likely to win them back over with something like this.
