Preview: Tre (2008)

Review:

The most difficult aspect of the poster to grasp is why they decided to go with a design more fitting of action films. The trailer tells us for certain it is no such thing, but this poster does not. Are they relying on people seeing this and being pulled in to watch and then giving them something unexpected? Or are they just trying to be hip and cool?

Review:

What a shabby trailer. If there's anything that would make a filmgoer not want to watch this film it's the lugubrious pace and absence of discernable plot elements. The trailer is as inept in design as the poster.

Oscar Prospects:

I can't imagine an Oscar voter wanting to watch this film after a trailer like that. Thankfully its pre-destined box office failure and early release should stifle any chances the film has, even if it turns out to be good.
