While this poster is fairly typical, using the "starring" squares at the top, there's a shade of humor to it and the color and blockign is appealing visually.
When the trailer starts, it's not hard to be convinced that this is going to be a serious film, but it doesn't take long before it becomes entirely obvious that this is a war profiteering comedy. John Cusack's a gifted straight man comic, but add in his wise-cracking sister, the terrific Joan, and you have a combination that looks as interesting and potentially entertaining as Grosse Pointe Blank was and this even seems thematically like it could be a pseudo-sequel.
It's doubtful that Cusack (either) will get recognized for this film, but John has been so richly deserving in the past that a dearth of nomination contenders this year could net him a nod...then again, I thought that with his three performance last year and look how that turned out.
I have not seen this film.
