It's simple and gives us the "X" we like to see. However, the fact that there's only one apparent source of light, yet the shadows of Scully and Mulder cross, is the most disconcerting thing. It's possible the producers intended that, but it's also possible that whomever designed it didn't think about it.
This trailer is all over the place showing us myriad scenes from the film without giving them the least bit of cohesion. Sure as an ex-X fan, I am slightly interested, the last big screen effort soured me on the idea that the TV-show could make it on the big screen.
Giving the viewers more information about the film doesn't necessarily help draw in an audience. It's not likely this trailer will make believers out of non-believers and it's surreptitious enough to keep most of the non-hardcore fans away.
Nah. I probably should't even comment on this one. History shows the series isn't Oscar material.
I have not seen this film.
