Review:

It easily captures the atmosphere of the film and may very well draw in a few people who haven't seen the trailer.

Review:

Tim Burton's animated films have taken on fantasy worlds, period places and now appears to be looking into the future. This triler doesn't look terribly exciting and the fragments of plot that are included are barely interesting. The only thing saving the trailer is its strong visuals, a Burtonian strong suit even when he's not directing.

This second trailer really gives the audience an idea of the gorgeous animation and craft that goes into the film, making it seem like of the few animated features outside of Pixar to look like it might just be a terrific film.

This is the trailer I saw in the theater. While the design work is still impressive, the countdown seems a bit unnecessary, though still ultimately fitting.

Oscar Prospects:

This will probably be one of the early contenders for an Oscar nomination, but I doubt it can actually take a stab at the podium.

A throwback to the industrial era, the film doesn't feel as important now as it might have then.
