A Palestinian mother and her son move to America in hopes of starting a new life, but finds too frequently that prejudice runs deep.
This isn't really a comedy, but they seem to choose the Coming to America mold for their image placement within the frame and the "moving into suburbia" motif is hardly original.
Despite having a incredbly weak poster, the trailer is quite charming. Nisreen Faour is absolutely engaging, which should do enough to encourage all types of audiences to attend and enjoy.
While I would love to think the Academy could actually recognize a film like this, especially a performance that looks so good, but I doubt the film will earn any Oscar recognition.
I have not seen this film.
