Review:

Like documentaries need to get more of the reputation that they are stuffy and boring. This critic-praise-heavy poster is hardly a notable one and so much lettering is a quick and easy turn off for most audiences. Some might recognize the name of the band, but too few to be of any effect.

• Trailer: C+

Review:

As someone who isn't a fan of the hairbands of the '80s or of the hard rock/metal bands of the same period, the story doesn't feel like such a vital one. Certainly it could be an interesting one, but the trailer is a bit too plodding to really entice me or many others to watch it.

Oscar Prospects:

I doubt the documentary branch will embrace this film, there's just not enough politics involved.
