Preview: Battle for Terra (2009)

Synopsis:

The planet earth has been destroyed and the last starship from the planet has found a new place to call home, but to do so, they feel they must destroy the alien life living peacefully upon it setting off a war between the two peoples.

Review:

Supremely chaotic, poorly designed and outerwardly unpleasant to look at, there isn't much of value in the poster, but it could be enough to draw an audience, especially if they realize it's an animated film.

• Trailer: C

Review:

A little more interesting in design and concept than Delgo, but the alien character designs are a bit too similar and the child-friendly plot seems to be fairly typical and lacking in depth for the adults in the audience.

Oscar Prospects:

Another film likely to get submitted but unlikely to get nominated and this film, without a powerful production company in its corner, isn't likely to see the inside or outside of an Oscar envelope.
