Preview: Dragonball Evolution (2009)

Synopsis:

An adaptation of the popular kids anime, Dragonball Evolution follows four dragonball users as they attempt to thwart an evil mastermind from gaining control of the dragonballs.

Review:

A five-way split screen is not my idea of an interesting poster. Even the colors seem bland in comparison and the poses aren't terribly interesting.

• Trailer: C+

Review:

While there are some neat effects in the trailer, which should more than adequately attract fans of the series and the all-important young male demographic, there is something hollow in the film as it paints its story by the numbers and features some of the weakest in-trailer acting since the lame Larry the Cable Guy film of last year.

Oscar Prospects:

Doubtful.
