Preview: Echelon Conspiracy (2009)

Synopsis:

An engineer receives strange cell phone messages that suggest he could profit substantially, but he is placed in the middle of a deadly international plot.

Review:

While conceptually, this poster has some intriguing elements, images of the film (i.e. the lead character's life and events depicted int he film) being displayed on giant screens, his every moved watched as he runs from or towards whatever is hunting or helping him. However, the colors are bland and indistinct, which makes for a poster one would immediately gloss over if perusing posters at the cineplex for something more inventive.

Review:

This looks like a poor man's version of Eagle Eye featuring mostly television actors and revolving around a slightly different topic, which is, at times, a far happier one than the one employed in Eagle Eye.

Oscar Prospects:

I can't fathom Eagle Eye as much of a contender, so a second rate version of the same film isn't going anywhere near Oscar.
