A young girl becomes enamored with the sweet life after a significantly older, wealthy man shows her the world that could be hers with him.
Pleasing visually, thematically it doesn't have much to say.
Peter Sarsgaard is one of those actors I could watch without cease, but I'm not sure whether this film will be great or not. It has the potential with Alfred Molina and Emma Thompson also in the film, but it could also easily be a failure.
It's doubtful the Academy would pull this one out for consideration, though the early October release could give it some impact on critics races, which could then prove a spring board into the Oscar race.
I have not seen this film.
