Preview: The Education of Charlie Banks (2009)

Synopsis:

An awkward college freshman gets in over his head when he discovers that one of his new roommates has psychological issues and his health and love life may be in danger because of it.

Review:

Looking like it was cribbed directly from a TV movie, the colors are too broad and the poses are too forced plus it's fairly clear this was not taken directly from the movie and simply photoshopped together.

• Trailer: B-

Review:

I'm torn between thinking this could be an interesting movie and thinking it's a rejected flick from a cable network. The plot is shaky at best, but the promise of a mentally handicapped character (if he really is handicapped) not being portrayed with a speech impediment makes for a potentially good movie.

Oscar Prospects:

I can't see this movie making it to the big party.
