Preview: Evangelion 1.0 (2009)

As the world is coming to an end, a secret organization has built a series of robots they hope to use to save the world, or at least what's left of humanity.

Review:

A bit jumbled, but probably more interesting in larger size, this poster suggests the film is animated, but denies passers-by from truly recognizing that or even what the film's purpose is.

• Trailer: B-

Review:

Traditional anime blended with computer-generated landscapes, this film looks like your common Japanese anime science fiction saga and has very little else of inteerest to non-anime fans.

Oscar Prospects:

With so few Animated Features in the running this year, I'm fairly certain the film won't even come close to a nomination when the category is issued with a scarce three nominees, all of which could very well be Disney or Disney-acquisitioned features.
