Preview: Explicit Ills (2009)

Synopsis:

A group of inner city residents battle against a development deal that will take away their livelihood while struggling with economic difficulties.

Review:

There's a glimpse of a mural at the end of the trailer and this poster seems to put that mural into use, but the background is too distracting and it makes the poster look less like a capsule of the film and more like some strange, low budget comedy.

Review:

Without seeming to pander to its audience, this trailer looks like it might be interesting to watch and may make some important statement on the economic hardships faced by many Americans.

Oscar Prospects:

I'm fairly certain the film will do well with critics but be nothing more than an afterthought to the Academy.
