Review:

I admire the fact that the designers decided to focus on the car to sell the film as it would appeal to their target demo, but the images reflected in the shiny polish, while a nice touch, are too indistinct to be of much sales help.

I like the first poster better. This one just too plain even though it has a lot of graphics. The car, while a selling point for a lot of people, is a bit obtrusive and the side-by-side stars images only sell it to a pre-sold audience, so this poster doesn't do a lot to bring in new viewers.

Review:

Surprisingly, the trailer is a bit exciting. The scene with the oil rig is particularly intriguing, but the rest of the trailer seems a bit action film-stagey. The plot isn't terribly exciting, but I have to give them credit for the oil rig scene.

A seemed-like five-minute chase scene opens the trailer and then it goes on another course all together and starts hocking its car action scenes without any real hint of plot. Those who already want to see the film will be stoked. Those who don't won't. Those who are ambivalent will probably still be that way.

There really is nothing new in this trailer, which, in its shortened form, looks even less interesting than the unexceptional second trailer.

Oscar Prospects:

The first several films weren't considered for the Oscars. There's no reason to expect this latest film to do so.
