Preview: The Horse Boy (2009)

Synopsis:

An autistic child finds peace on the back of a horse prompting his parents to take him to Mongolia in hopes of healing him spiritually.

Review:

The map in the background, while truthful, is entirely distracting. The rest of the poster seems to fit quite well, but the dark landscape in the background feels out of place.

Review:

This documentary starts off seeming more like an adaptation of a novel than an actual examination of events. The film is definitely biased, but has a modicum of charm.

Oscar Prospects:

There's a tough list of potential nominees this year and while this one could hone in on the action, it may ultimately fail.
