Preview: Humble Pie (2009)

Synopsis:

An obscenely overweight grocery store clerk attempts to find himself as an actor while his acting teacher makes it with his petite sister.

Review:

It's a bit too clever for its own good. It reminds me of the poster for Hard Candy, but that's not why it's so bad. The problem is it tries far too hard to be original.

It might be an interesting film in the end, though some of the scenes are hopelessly melodramatic and there are enough cliches here to strangle a cat.
