Review:

This film looks like an extremely cheap and unoriginal copy of James Bond. Retreading very old plots, relying heavily on action sequences to sell the film, the producers obviously aren't too excited about it, especially when they have given it a February release, the graveyard of "serious" films.

Could there be any worse preview for a pot boiler like this? Looking little more than a glorified political thriller, this film looks more awful the more of it I see. I doubt there will be much to redeem the film, which more than justifies its opening date.

Oscar Prospects:

Pseudo-espionage thrillers aren't really the Academy's cup of tea and with 10 months between the film's release the the Academy even thinking seriously about its awards for 2009, the answer here is no.
