An adaptation of the cult television series, a "researcher" played by Will Farrell uses taxpayer money to research into his theory of time travel, but finds there's proof to his theories when he find himself and others trapped in an alternate-reality where dinosaurs still roam the earth.
The colors used in the poster, while a departure from many other blockbuster posters, do not fit particularly well together and the concept a T-Rex chasing the leads is not that interesting. Having Will Farrell front-and-center may help brign in his fans, but the rest of the poster is rather drab.
Silly, nonsensical and not very inventive, the Super Bowl spot was just not interesting enough to pay much attention to.
Expanding the Super Bowl ad further is clearly no help either. Making the film look lik a poor man's comedy with no redeeming humor and even less interesting graphics isn't going to result in a mass audience arriving at the theater. It might drag a few in, but if the previews continue like this, we could be looking at a Love Guru-size disaster.
Another trailer and still nothing of interest involved. There are a few more witty retorts in thi trailer, but not nearly enough to suggest a film of any lasting durability.
Even if the film was a great success, the comic aspect of the film should keep it out of the running.
I have not seen this film.
