Preview: The New Twenty (2009)

Synopsis:

Five best friends must discover themselves as separate individuals as well as a family-style unit in this film of sexual and emotional discovery.

Review:

Obviously attempting to attract a set demographic to the film, the poster is rather disingenous in its pursuit as the trailer suggests the film may be trying to explore the gay/straight dynamic a little more subtly than the poster suggests.

Review:

Looking more like a gimmick film to appeal to a target audience, the film seems dangerously one-sided in its exploration of homosexual affairs, which may mean its ultimate downfall.

Oscar Prospects:

I don't think the film can compete with any of the films that are going to arrive on the pseudo-indie scene in the last half of the year.
