A sequel to the popular holiday hit Night at the Museum wherein Ben Stiller ends up at the Smithsonian only to face the same forces he fought in the first film.
Rich in detail, but rather generic in execution, featuring the cast of the film arrayed nicely with some other items from the museum in the background.
Likely forced to depend on the box office success possibilities of the Summer, this film seems quite a bit at odds with the normal tentpole fare. I wonder if perhaps they are hoping that the Christmastime success will translate into bigger Summer dollars, but from the looks of this "same ol' same ol'" trailer, I don't think it will do much better or perhaps even as well as the first.
An expansion of content that barely feels like we're getting much more and which feels as tired and silly as the first trailer.
The first film didn't even get close to earning Oscar nominations. This trailer suggests that will continue to be the case.
I have not seen this film.
