Preview: Race to Witch Mountain (2009)

Review:

Disney is continuing to remake its children's classics and while the title is entirely different than the previous films, it's clear they are only updating the setting, but not much of the plot and blending in more amusement park ride-style sequences.

Most of the Super Bowl ads seem to be doing the same thing. Showing us the same things we saw in the extended trailer. However, this shorter trailer makes the film seem slightly more appealing.

Oscar Prospects:

Too early a release to gain consideration even if the visual effects are fairly good, which they appear to be.
