Preview: Robert Blecker Wants Me Dead (2009)

Synopsis:

This is a documentary following a death row inmate and the man who is crusading for his execution and the unlikely bond that develops between them.

Review:

Perhaps it would have been best not to put the warden on the poster as he's hardly a selling point. The background of newspaper clippings and the blended-in murder are entirely fitting, however.

Review:

Looking like a student film documentary more than a serious, classical documentary, Robert Blecker doesn't look like there's much there except the emotionl quandary of the warden (I think it's the warden, the trailer doesn't help the viewer figure that out very well) and his relationship with a convicted child murderer.

Oscar Prospects:

Not an official selection for the 81st Oscars, but it could figure into the 82nd; however, I'm not even 40% sure of that.
