The usual suspects are largely absent from the Coen Bros. latest film. The trailer has equal measures of interesting subjects and irritating conceits. The repetitiveness of the images, though purposeful and designed to act as the musical accompaniment for the trailer is all too annoying.
This seems a distant cry from No Country for Old Men and seems more akin to the Coens' work on Raising Arizona and The Hudsucker Proxy, so Oscar talk will likely be muted.
The Coens the way I like them. This is their second best film after The Man Who Wasn't There.
