An emu ranch hand decides he wants to try to make a better life for his family and travels to the city to work as a motorcycle-taxi, all while the life around him begins to spiral into desperation.
Although I think the image from the film is stirring, it doesn't really fit a poster. I can understand the concept of fish out of water, but there are more themes in the film and this poster isn't likely to draw in an actual audience as it seems tangential at best.
A far from great, but certainly fascinating saga of a poor father trying to make his family stronger and more financially secure. There are some intensenly interesting images in the trailer and the lack of copious amounts of dialogue is a selling point for me, but there's something so familiar about the film that it feels like it may lack a touch of originality.
Another early-year indie flick that will be lucky to stick around long enough to get Spirit Award recognition at the end of the year.
I have not seen this film.
